Safe and Socially Distant Ways to Celebrate the Holidays in Northern Colorado this Winter

NoCo Winter Wonderland’s drive-thru holiday light display is a safe and socially distant way to celebrate the holidays in Northern Colorado this Winter.

While in-person gatherings pose varying levels of risk, the event organizers at Colorado Youth Outdoors launched a new drive-thru holiday light display to provide a fun and safe option for anyone looking to remain socially distant while still feeling connected to the community and celebrating together in person, NoCo Winter Wonderland.

Colorado Youth Outdoors converted their 240 acre campus into a one mile, 15 minute drive-thru holiday light display filled with twinkling lights, animated features, outdoor/ holiday themes and a fly fishing Santa.  The event is accessible to all ages and mobility levels and can be enjoyed from the safety and comfort of your vehicle.  Online reserved timed entry is being used to create a safe (no-contact/low contact) ticketing and check in process for guests.  We are thrilled to offer a safe and socially distant way to celebrate the holidays in Northern Colorado this winter.

Starting Nov 27th– Dec 31, NoCo Winter Wonderland is hosted by Colorado Youth Outdoors at their campus in Fort Collins, CO

Reserve timed entry tickets here.

Virus spread risk at holiday celebrations

According to the CDC, “in-person gatherings pose varying levels of risk. Indoor gatherings with poor ventilation generally pose more risk than those with good ventilation, such as those with open windows or doors or outdoor gatherings.”  With this in mind, NoCo Winter Wonderland created an outdoor activity that can be enjoyed from your car.  Guests can come out on their own or caravan as part of a larger  group.  Tickets can be purchased in groups so that you and your family can go through the route at the same time. Friends and family can still experience celebrate the holidays together, in person in a safe and socially distant way.

Now more than ever, we want to create safe and socially distant ways to celebrate the holidays in Northern Colorado this winter.

Community partners such as JBS in Greeley, CO helped make this idea a reality by becoming a corporate sponsor.  In addition to providing a fun and safe way to celebrate the holidays in Northern Colorado this winter, their contribution makes it possible for gate fees and any additional donations made by visitors  on specific nights to provide meaningful support to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County and UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation.  Click here to learn more about all the other non-profits who will benefit from NoCo Winter Wonderland at Colorado Youth Outdoors.

Running from Nov. 27, 2020 to Dec. 31, 2020, the 1 mile, 15 minute route, a trip through this twinkling wonderland runs $20 per vehicle and reserved timed entry is required.  One ticket per car.
